Summary of Benefits

If you need the most complete travel insurance coverage we provide, consider the RBC TravelProtector Deluxe plan which offers the following coverage and benefits:

  • Trip Cancellation (Pre-Departure):
    Up to your trip cost
  • Trip Interruption (Post-Departure):
    Up to 150% of your trip cost
  • Travel Delay (Subsistence Allowance):
    Up to $1,000
  • Baggage and Personal Effects:
    Up to $2,000 for loss or damage (includes upgraded protection for Golf and Ski equipment coverage)
  • Baggage Delay:
    Up to $600 (includes upgraded coverage for Golf and Ski equipment)
  • Emergency Medical and Dental:
    Up to $50,000 for eligible medical expenses and $750 for eligible dental expenses
  • Emergency Medical Transportation:
    Up to $1,000,000
  • Repatriation of Remains or Local Burial
    Up to $15,000
  • Air Flight Accident & Accidental Death & Dismemberment:
    Up to $50,000
  • Rental Car Damage:
    Up to $25,000

Optional Cancel for Any Reason Benefit

If your covered trip cost (per person) is less than $50,000, you have the option to purchase our flexible Cancel for Any Reason benefit.

Under this coverage, if you cancel your trip for any reason not otherwise covered by the plan, we will reimburse you for 75% of the prepaid, forfeited, non-refundable payments or deposits you paid for your trip, provided that:

  • Your payment for this insurance is received within 15 days of the date your initial payment/deposit for your trip is received; and
  • You insure all prepaid trip costs that are subject to cancellation penalties or restrictions; and also insure within 15 days of the payment for those arrangements the cost of any subsequent arrangements (or any other arrangements not made through your travel agent) added to your trip; and
  • You cancel your trip 2 days or more before your scheduled departure date
